It seems that most group such as the EDL has an opposition group, in this case the Anti Fascist group.
Bearing this in mind, is there a place for a 'Straight Pride March' to oppose the 'Gay Pride March'?

"Do you know the ways that homosexuals have more rights than straight people?"
Yes, sp. They have the right to be joined in a Civil Partnership. Straight couples do not. With the impending introduction of homosexual marriage ceremonies (with no concomitant plans for access to Civil Partnerships for straight couples) Gay people will have two methods of union whilst straight people remain with just the one.

I reserve the right to wear outrageuous clothes, mince when I walk, arrange scatter cushions, drink beer, like football and rugby and toy dogs dressed in cutesy clothes and cuddle my cat on the sofa at night whilst watching The Profesionals, The Godfather in between reading Nuts and Loaded.
I'm just not sure which march to join....

I agree with NJ - straight people should be able to have a civil partnership as well, if they want one. Peter Tatchell campaigns for it!
And I find it odd that it most conversations about homosexuality, almost always the comment goes that it is abnormal, that heterosexuality is the norm - so if this is the case, why on earth- or more appropriately, what on earth is there to raise consciousness -wise?
I don't think we should be in the business of stopping them, if thats what they want to do, but you really do have to question the rationale behind the whole idea.

none of us will likely be around to see what evolution has in store and which it favours for the continuation of the human species
unless of course that is you think that Darwins theory is baloney

I don't really know the difference to be honest, Fred. That's why I could not understand the campaign for gay marriages. Straight people had their marriages, gay people had their civil partnerships. Both, it seemed were equivalent and the different names recognised the different type of union. (For whatever either group would like to believe, the two types of people are different).
Now, of course, gay people can choose either type of union whilst straight people cannot. And that's not really fair.
