So they don't want fracking, wind generators, nuclear or any new power stations apparently. So where is the electricity going to come from in the near future ?

Thanks Jordyboy. It just proves how difficult this subject is. Everybody wants and needs electricity but nobody it would seem wants it to be generated anywhere near them. But extra generation is needed, and needed urgently. We face the very real danger of the lights going out. Imagine...no lecky and therefore no AB !
My personal view is that nuclear is the best way forward. It has its problems, God knows, but it would seem to be the only sustainable way forward. But these rent-a-mobs just won't allow anything to go forward. They have their own agenda I suspect and annoying local residents and the authorities is high up on that agenda.

There's an article here which suggests it's being looked at, Jordyboy.
