This is a few days old now - i dont know if it has been posted before .

However , you still see drivers all the time driving whilst attending to some sort of device in their cars , including using their mobile phone ; and not concentrating on their driving
Is it a case that folk just dont care - do you think ?
Will punishment like the above court sentence change peoples habits ?

I think one of the most concerning ones is when we realise that we have driven 2 miles down the road and have day dreamed so much that we don't even know for sure whether the lights were even green.
But the issue particulalry in this instance in the OP is that she fiddled for 20 seconds. If you close your eyes and count to 20, and imagine that you are driving along in your car (at 10, 30 or 60mph) - its a staggering disregard for driving, car and saftey awareness. I can't imagine what she was thinking - if at all.
So in this respect, those who remain aware but fiddle may remain fortunate, or they might not, others may change their ways, but people like the lady in the article will still be on our roads until they do something horrific that gets them taken off it.
