He's a successful comedian...therefore I think he knows quite a lot about comedy.
I assume you don't find him funny. Fair enough, but comedy is one of those very subjective things - you might not find someone amusing, but that doesn't mean they're not amusing.
I can't stand Celine Dion, and would rather hack my ears off than listen to a whole album of her incessant caterwauling...but I accept that the woman knows a lot about music.
