I know that corruption is the stock in trade of the EU but normally they are more subtle about it!

It's hardly corruption

This is a piece of legal advice from their lawyers advising them that their plan for this tax is in their view not compatible with existing treaties.

It's an opinion so not binding but it's an important one so I very much doubt that they'll continue with it in it's existing form.

I know it's different from the British way of doing things which is usually to ignore advice, bully stuff through and then kick up and whinge when subsequent court cases go against them but there you have it.
they will just change it around until they get what they want.

we need to kick this lot into touch and run our own affairs and raise our own taxes, not having taxes foisted on us from a bunch of corrupt unelected power seekers
