So drug dealer is waving gun about and you want the police to have a "review" - perhaps they could ask the guy to come back later so they can have a meeting! Invite social services too!

The tax payer should not fund enquiries into fatal shooting by the police where there is obvious evidence that the victim deserved it. For example, visible tattoos, being an ethnic minority, not being at work during the day, wearing lots of bling etc should give our fair minded police officers carte blanche to blaze away.

We need to ensure that what the police did was right in the circumstances - unless of course, you think that we should subjugate judicial process by reviewing what was in the papers?

Because right now, that's the only source of information about this case.

What about the guy Mendes was it? who was shot 7 times in the head just because he was seen to come out of a house where the police thought a terrorist gang was hiding? In that case they were wrong on all counts , wrong house, wrong guy, wrong description, they just panicked and shot him.
