Retrieving Deleted Emails

think I am grasping at straws but I have deleted an email by mistake and have used the back button to try to go back to mail to retrieve it but it would only let me go back so far, so is there anything i can do to retrieve it, I think this is a long shot but need help

Look for a bin icon, it'll be in there, might say recently deleted.

Which email are you using? It might still be in the trash bin. Have a look...

You've not told us whether you're using an email client (such as Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail) or a web-based service (which you access via your web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox). It makes a difference!

However your reference to a 'Back' button suggests that you're using a web-based system. If you simply selected 'Delete' your mail should still be in a folder labelled 'Trash', 'Deleted' or something similar. But if you then deleted it from that folder it's probably gone forever (although a few email services might enable you to still retrieve it - we'd need to know who your email provider is in order to check).

i used yahoo, but trash bin is empty so have deleted that too, silly me

Wont be doing that again I hope.

Make sure that you're logged in to your Yahoo! account and then try the 'Yahoo! Mail Restore Help Form' link here:

(I can't test it myself because I don't use Yahoo! and so I can't log in).

Download and run the free program RECUVA which should find your deleted emails it has two ways of doing it a quick check or a full check which can take quite some time.

have downloaded recuva but stupid me doesn't know how to access it and get it to do it, help

Recuva can't help because it only finds deleted files on your computer. Your emails were stored on Yahoo!'s server, not on your hard drive, so there's nothing for Recuva to look for.

Try going to retrieve mail it should bring up old emails it does on yahoo

Sorry its SEARCH MAIL on yahoo, type in the person or firm that sent it and it should come back. SEARCH Mail is above the in box on yahoo not sure about others
