Unless I understood a word or two I'd not know whether it was nonsense or not.
Er, no didn't catch the speech.

Lowest form of wit ,
What did he say?
Which bit didn't you understand?
General statements or questions like that don't help us much. What specific statements in the speech do you find to be nonsense? I appreciate that you suggest that you and others didn't understand a word of it , in which case being specific may be beyond you, but have a go
I missed it but did unfortunatley catch the fawning, vomit-inducing introduction of Osborne by Karen Brady.

It was bilious.
I have said this on AB before and I will say it again....never underestimate Boris.

Beneath that shambolic, badly dressed manikins dummy, is one of the best political minds of his generation. He WILL be a future leader of the Tory Party, and its this that keeps Dave awake at nights, not Ed, Red or otherwise.

Also I expect, at sometime in the not too distant future, that Mrs Boris will be in Number Ten, measuring up for new curtains.

And whether he knows the price of a pint of milk or not is completely irrelevant.

Watch this space !
"Yellow Lib Dem albatross !"

Priceless !...did you see them all cheering !

Dave...be afraid, very afraid.

Fred P How Rude you are, I think you need to attend a school of manner training.
Oh come hawksley...what are you...made of bone china ? Leave Fred alone and address the post !
I cant make up my mind about boris, is he super intelligent or a born bluffer ?
anneasquith............believe me...he is the man of the future in the Tory Party....look at the reception he got today !

Prime Minister Boris, plus a few years, without doubt.
I imagine him to have a devious mind, all that shambolic appearance is a front. He's said to be a bit of a goer with the ladies too. Not that I find him attractive that way.
I like Boris. To me he makes a lot of sense.
Hawksley, that's not very polite yourself..... What didn't you understand? Boris may come over as shambolic but as mikey says, he's a highly astute and clever man underneath that public buffoon exterior.
For the last time tonight ( because I am knackered and need some sleep ! )
Ignore Boris at your peril !
he is far from being a clown, listen next time to what he says, perhaps some seems like waffle, and perhaps some is, but most isn't, people judge him primarily on what he looks like, don't, underneath that mop of blonde hair beats the brain of a very intelligent and often funny man. Whether he would make a good PM, that is a different matter
He's not called BoJo the Clown for nothing but NEVER underestimate this fat shambolic creature. He has followers and one day he will be in #10. whether we like it or not. I fall into the latter. As for "Bring on the Clowns"... that should be the signature tune of this conference. "Bring in the Clowns.......don't bother, they're here!" Or, "Clowns to left the left of me, jokers to the right". Politicians, there's no such thing as a GOOD one. They're all just degrees of bad. Cynical? Moi?
that title is a media piece of nonsense, if some don't like him because of his policies, after all he is not in government, but Mayor of London, then fine, but having listened and watched some of the programmes he has presented, i find him funny, erudite and very knowledgeable, his background, family history is quite interesting, he is quite eccentric in many ways, and does not readily fit the mould of our rather bland politicians. This idea he is some sort of clown is entirely wrong, he isn't, because if he was he wouldn't be in the job he is currently doing, nor perhaps be in line to return to government ranks.
Hawskley, if you reread your OP you'll see that you appear to be suggesting that you and the rest did not understand a word of it. Is it not reasonable to ask, given that, how you can say it was nonsense and in what particulars it was nonsensical?

As I say, general observations such as it is "a load of schoolboy nonsense" don't help us. We can't address generalities like that. Which statements were nonsense and why?
