Tornado!

Hi all, just wondering if any of you were unlucky enough (hope not) to witness first hand the tornado that hit Birmingham yesterday. Saw it on the news this morning and was disgusted to hear that 20 mins after people were evacuated from their homes, their homes were being looted!!

Hi libertie - I saw the tornado on the news last night, but didn't know about the looting - unbelievable!

Whatever is this world coming to?

I think the looting is just awful as if people dont have enough to worry about with their homes in tatters,a similar mini tornado hit where I live on New Years day last, thankfully my house was'nt hit but lots of others were badly damaged some of them only being properly repaired now.

The dreadful thing is, the 'looters' went in regardless of the fact that there could have been some serious casualties or deaths. Grabbing someones TV whilst someone is laying there dying doesn't mean a thing to them. These morons don't give a stuff and should be shot on site.

I hadn't heard about looting either where did you hear that?

I have just seen a witness who said that there were kids looting through the ruins which is deplorable but sounds like an isolated incident and not quite what some journalists might like to turn it into.

Did you see any pictures?

Thanks for your replies, no I did'nt see any pictures of the looters.  I did see a chap being interviewed who said he was worried about his house being open to the elements and also looters, the newsperson then said that his fears were well founded as police had arrested some people for looting - like the rest of you I think they are pretty despicable!
