Oh I won't argue with you there boxy...we should ignore Boris at our peril !

Leader of the con party. maybe mikey 4444 . but the next PM,or future PM ???? Very doubtful ...
Question Author
Time will tell hawksley, but if he is going to be the next Tory leader, then he has a good chance of being the next PM...watch this place !
it doesn't just pass through so called posh areas, many people and businesses will be affected in our borough, the level of compensation won't be any where near what they need to relocate, as to the businesses, who knows. As to Boris, he may well look like that in years to come, don't you look like your family?
those who keep on about Boris being a clown have obviously never listened to him, nor watched him work a crowd. I am not sure he is good PM material, however he is a learned and intelligent man
I agree, Em...except I wouldn't mind seeing him as PM.....and there are areas, not so posh, near me that will suffer.
I would love to see the end to this nonsense of an idea.
its gone through as far as i can tell, there was a long debate the other day, some of which i watched, most seemed in favour.
I guess it may line some pockets..such a shame and anyone who thinks it will lift our economy needs to be looked at carefully.
You could say the same about the motorways etc - I remember the stink when they built some of the Ms years back, cutting through the countryside. M25 cutting through the north downs, etc. People wouldn't be without them now.
You could Boxy, but I would like to see existing rail travel improved before investing in this for such little advantage....if any at all.
if it's 50 billion, then bound to be a lot more, all to shave off 20 minutes of a journey many well may not take, seeing as how our working practices may have changed considerably by the time it gets into production, 2026 wasn't it?
Don't get how 600,000 homes will be blighted. Anyone any ideas?
