My school was all-boys and apart from two secretaries; an all-male staff

Until 1972 when for some bizarre reason they employed three female teachers straight from College.

You can probably imagine the impact that had especially for us 6th Formers.

I discovered years later that one of my peers had actually scored with one of the lovely ladies on multiple occasions. Mind you, Andy was something of a legend for anyone who had seen him in the showers.

Society does employ double standards in this area - mature men who chase teenage boys are 'perverts', while mature women who chase teenage girls are 'cougars'

Fortunately, people who think like this don't run the nation's schools, or legal system, and for that we must be grateful.

What I intended to say was - men who chase teenage girls are viewed as perverts, women who chase teenage boys are viewed as 'cougars' - double standards if ever there was some.

At my skool a lot of the masters were interested in er teaching the kids and not sh+gging them.
