Just thought I would enter this on behalf of sp1814, because I think he may be a little shy considering that he has been criticising me for repeating the same stories even though mine were years apart.

I am 100% certain that the gay couple knew that the guesthouse owners would refuse a double room to them, their view on same sex couples was well known. I am also sure that the gay couple then ' targeted' the guest house to provoke a court case and win publicity and compensation. Their ploy has succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.
Those news reports were held to be inaccurate......and Preddy/Hall couldn't have successfully sued the Bulls, had their been no infringement of legislation.
The Bulls were the ones breaking the law and yet Preddy/Hall have become vilified for being the ones bringing this to the attention of the Courts. All sorts of spurious and scurrilous accusations regarding their motives have be thrown in their direction.
It makes you wonder why, exactly.......

jack; You say that the press reporting that the Bull's views on homosexuality were known, and was disproved, how on earth can you disprove that? Hundreds of people had stayed with them and some of them were silent homosexuals, and all were well aware of their views and had broadcast the fact to other members of the homosexual community. You are being naive if you don't see that.
Also I have no intention of "Islam-bashing" but a devout Muslim family would not condone homosexuality in the wider world, let alone in their own home. So what I'm asking is when do we expect to see the first Muslim B&B homosexual-refusal-case to come before an English court? I suspect it will be a long time off.
Far from bashing Islam, I'm bashing the English judicial system.

Khandro -- that is perhaps possible but that assumes that everyone in the gay community talks to each other about everything, and shares everything, and every gay person is militant. Most of them just want to lead a normal life, and what is wrong with that? There are no grounds for your accusation, beyond speculation.
