Ban On Smoking On Hospital Grounds

I think it kinda makes sense really...especially if health trusts can offer free support (patches, gum, inhalers etc).

I remember having an ENT operation and sitting in the hospital TV room watching news of the Zeebrugge disaster and we could hardly see the screen due to the fag smoke. Seems like another age.

chilldoubt - please don't make assumptions that seeing the pain team or a doctor will solve my problems.
I am unable to take strong meds (morphine, fentanyl etc) so I have no choice and HAVE to endure pain (nay agony) after surgery.
I will repeat - if anyone can walk a mile in my shoes, then and only then will I listen to them

CD I have enough needles stuck in me on a regular basis!
I manage quite well on staying mentally strong and having the occasional cigarette. That is not going to change.
