Looks like labour are finally showing their true colours and cow-towing to their Union paymasters as it appears Ed's maths has failed again.

Mind you, I am not surprised, if I was paying for a party I would want some say wouldn't you?

Unfortunately, this is another area where Ed Miliband offers no real difference from the coalition. He embraces the same toxic, synthetic, meaningless brand of politics which has been choking our political system for the past two decades.

There's really no difference between them at all.

Anyone who thought Labour would cut its links with Unions with less than 18 months to an election must be delusional. When Miliband said the Labour Party would re-asses its relationship with the Unions, he was talking long term not immediately. The Unions pay a fortune in donations, so no Labour leader in his right mind would do anything to threaten that with an election looming.

It can't really be classed as a u-turn if the right whingers didn't understand it.
