Well what did others think of this years Royal Variety Show?

Where was the Variety it was almost back to back singers, and the 'comedians' what can one say about them especially the on that Zoomed in, dressed in his underpants, the rest of his act consisted of him making hand gestures through a Venetian blind, oh dear.

I watched it but wasn't impressed. As you say too many singers and not much else. Putting variety in the title of the show is surely against the trades descriptions act!
that commedianne if you can call him that was embarrassing .liked olly and robbie
uninspiring. that so called comedian in his undies was awful
Stopped watching at Masterchef time.

Up to then only good bit was Dame Edna.
The act by Irish "comedian" Jason Byrne was one of the most awful embarrassing things I have ever seen.

He totally misjudged the audience, who are mostly middle and upper class so to come on in your vest and underpants was just cringe making.

And his "act" consisted of him making hand gestures through a venetian blind, a tepee and some royal curtains.

I have been watching the Royal Variety show for many years, and usually look forward to the comedians, but I have to say his act was one of the worst I have ever seen.

He had a pretty awful sit com called Father Figure a few months ago which was also very unfunny and got panned by everyone, so he has not had a great year.

Watched bits of it when that so called comedian came on in his disgusting underpants I lost interest pity the poor Royals having to sit through this rubbish, Andrew LLoyd Webber was promoting his sex scandal show as Oh would say bring back Morecambe and Wise!
Ditto, everyone.
There were at least 4 'comedians' on and not one raised a smile from me. Who told any of them they were remotely funny? beats me! There is definitely an opening for a genuinely funny comic, the ones on the RVS were embarrassing.
I tuned in towards the end to catch the star closing act. What did we get, Chas & Dave. I don't mind them but please, they are hardly A rated stars.
The closing act was always a Big Name, which C & D are not.
Just remember, if it wasn't for Venetian blinds, it would be curtains for the lot of us!
Has it been on? Not watched it for years.
the shadow act was good but couldn't get why she was in a wheelchair at the end but heard afterwards that they cut the act for time.
