Bought Shoes Off Ebay Wrong Pair, Can I Return Them ?

hi,
i bought shoes off ebay, seller sent me 2 left shoes , i looked at returns policy and seller states the buyer is responsible for return postage. postage is very expensive 6.99 so , if shoes are not as described and are both left shoes is it not therefore the sellers duty to pay return postage ?

1. contact the seller and tell them what they have done. They may be agonising over the fact that they have got two right shoes left and be delighted to exchange shoes with you and cover the postage. 2. Failing that open a case in the resolution centre.

Have you contacted the seller to ask them? And btw £6.99 seems a bit expensive for the postage. Is it not £3.00 1st class, £2.60 2nd class? An extra £1.10 buys signed for so you know that the other person has received the parcel?

The prices you quote are for only up to a certain size package, CD - anything over would go by parcel, depends if they were sent in the box. Any half decent seller would reimburse you the cost of the postage, but you have to pay out first then scan a copy of the proof of postage to them, so they know how much it cost you. Contact them first - any problems, open a dispute on eBay.

It's their mistake, they should pay for return postage. Contact them and see what they say. If what they say isn't acceptable, start a dispute.

...and it doesn't matter whether or not they say they will accept returns, if what they have sent you isn't fit for purpose or as described, you can still return it. IMO.

YOu can always query postage, beez - I try to make it clear in my sales if the cost looks higher because the package is large, there are so many permutations of package size when you get to the PO these days!

boxtops - I work in a Post Office and small parcel rates, which I have quoted, go up to a large shoe box size. Each Post Office has a box which if the parcel fits in would mean that it could go small parcel. Most shoe boxes (not usually boots) fit in the box.
