//Mr Cameron announced EU migrants will have to wait for at least three months before they can claim any out-of-work benefits // It should be extended to five years - and not just for those from the EU - for all immigrants. I don't agree that migrants should be exempt from paying taxes for a similar period - they are all using the facilities their taxes go towards...
This could be read as an indication that Boris will not be seeking re-election.
London is a very ethnically diverse constituency and in the past Boris has made appeasing noises about immigration. He called for an illegals amnesty and has said employees should be free to import skills from foreign workers.
The fact that he is playing stong on immigration probably means he is no longer sfter their votes. And he is trying to put some distance from his previously softly softly approach.
Watch out Cameron, the bumbling B is about to sting.
he is not bumbling, and he is right, it should be at least 5 years, don't see why anyone gets the benefit of others paying into the system, whilst they have not, 3 months is stupid, in the rest of the EU the benefit payments are not equivalent to what you can get here, and it is harder to get what benefits there are available. No country wants to see taxpayers hard earner capital been doled out like sweets, time to stop messing about.
