No need to shout, the majority of terror suspects in this Country are born in this Country, making them British, what do we do with them, where do you send a stateless Brit?

Like you Reddie - a govt can't act unlawfully - something that most govts grizzle at.
It is so long ago - 1945 - that I cant find chapter and verse where the then govt agreed not to make people stateless as there were zillions hanging around central Europe looking for various homes. Volga Germans invited by Catherine the Gt 200 y previously were expelled from Russia - and the Czechs expelled the Sudeten Germans and so on.
and so - we can only do it if they have er two.
Knoweldge of International Law seems pretty thin on the ground
Jack Straw as Home Sec just said one time - oops Int Law wasnt in my undergrad course
and in in Yvonne Fletchers case ( killed outside the Libyan Embassy ) int law allowed the police to go in ( hot pursuit) and didnt forbid them.
and I have to say I am not sure that p+ddling around with their passports when the issue is terrorism is the way forward.
[ it is a bit like sending the Army down to Zummerzet to help with the flooding, er wouldnt the Navy be better ? ]

The USA has the power to remove citizenship from anyone, natural born citizen or not, who is a terrorist (inter alia). Can we not do the same in future? See::

Yeah the bill is causing issues ... coz
the crazy Tories are adding clauses to be voted on like
'There shall be no more rain in Somerset this year'
and it looks like a repeat of the commons debates over the Maastricht Treaty which the MPs tried to amend at the Bill stage
with the govt whips saying - it is a treaty for chrissakes....its been agreed and your job is to say yes or no and not change commas in various bits.....
