I don't think anyone who posts on here regularly regards black people as immune from anything on the basis of their ethnicity.
It is very easy to make points in varying degrees of obscurity about the fact that people of colour seem to account for a large amount of crime - when it is more likely that they account for a degree of reported and media-interest crime, which is not the same thing.
Anyone can, and some do push a point, and if a large number of posters disagree with it, then so be it - but that does not autoatically represent a simple willingness to excuse bad behaviour on the basis of colour - that is simply not a true representation of what occurs on here.

This question is in danger of disappearing up yet another rhetorical rabbit hole.
AoG Posts the headline "it is because I am a black male", then follows it up with a statement linking the lenient sentence offered the thugs in question with the defence offered in the title.
But this is not what happened. The judge explicitly rejected that "defence", offered by the defendants legal team. The grounds for her leniency were not down to this issue.
I still think she was unduly lenient, but she makes it clear that that particular defence tactic had nothing to do with her decision.

The mistake you made, is that you didn't read the whole article, and thought that they genuinely got suspended sentences because of the excuse of being black.
Hence:
"it Is Because I Am A Black Male"
So that is enough to prevent these violent savages from going to jail is it?

I will stop attacking the validity of your questions, on the proviso that you stop leaving wide open goals.

Andy, I am in touch with someone who is in the area of noting crime or whatever you would like to call it, and a lot of crime which occurs in the area that person is in, relates unfortunately to colour dividing the divide. Not media representation but actual recorded crime or as presented. None of us like to accept certain divisive facts but sometimes they are there, palatable or not. If only people would open their eyes and see the true facts and figures and not colour them with what they WANT to believe, life might just throw up the real way of living here and what it has become since "the good old days". Sorry if you find my take on things not to your liking but I am speaking not from reading the media but actual fact. Sad that it is to say and sad for whatever reason it occurs, it is actually happening in our country today afaic. My opinion the same as yours is your opinion.
AOG, why did you put "SO [my emphasis] that is enough to prevent these violent savages going to jail" if you knew all along that that was not a reason given for the sentence? How does that "enough to prevent.." fit what follows: "Our justice system is a complete joke" unless you have the premiss? The whole premiss of what you wrote was these people avoided jail because they were black? If it wasn't, what then was the point of mentioning it?
I am not going to apologise to you for your embarrassment, nor for my being able to read the plain English of what you put. Perhaps you would care to precisely answer the above?

Sp yes I think it is. Don't get me wrong, all crime is wrong but there are areas of such crime where it is race/cultural specific, I should imagine that applies to most countries too. We should be tackling all crime head on, no exceptions and all of equal force...but it will take a long time for justice to be seen when some people whoever they ay be, can be seen to be treated leniently against some who are not. Do we blame the judges who interpret the law, after all it is a matter of opinion or the government for not treating everyone equally?
Back in the olden days when I used to run a youth club, I ejected one particularly violent young man. He accused me of picking on his because he was black. I pointed out to him that the colour of his skin caused me no problems although I recognised that it was none of his doing. However, if he thought that attacking people at random was a consequence of having dark skin, he was a worse racist than I was.
"it Is Because I Am A Black Male"
Apostrophes because that is what the accused said in his defense.
/// So that is enough to prevent these violent savages from going to jail is it? ///
Asking others if they thought his excuse was good enough, as obviously the prisoner thought it was.
/// Our justice system is at times a complete joke. ///
Referring to the judges decision to allow all of them to go free.
I hope that puts it straight for all those 'doubting Thomas's', but I doubt it, they obviously only want to think what is in their particular mindset.
