I fear for this boys rehabilitation and the future for the whole family. Blaming ease of access to porn is too simplistic; Growing up in the 80s there was always some lad at school that had found a discarded adult mag and it would be eagerly shared around out of parents/teachers view. i am not being blinkered, and do have experience of this,
families can be torn apart by abuse.
A 7 year would know, she may not now the word, but if asked what the son did, surely she could describe it.
\\\\I feel sad what [he] did," she said. "I want him to go to our house so I can play games with him. I love [him]."\\\
The girl, doesn't seem to be badly traumatised and reading the reports and if handled sensibly, she should not suffer any emotional damage....in my opinion.
The boy is a different problem and i hope that the judge is correct in thinking that he is not a danger to society...........I have my doubts.
the ISP don't care, they haven't done anything about all manner sites than can be accessed. I mentioned before that i found some incredibly disturbing pictures of a girl, who looked 12, she may have been older but they were sexually explicit. i was looking for something, clicked on this link and there were these base images.
^^^ Not necessarily. A 7 year old has no concept of sex as you and I have as well as not having the right language. It could be rubbing, insertion of tip of something, digital.... as both HC and I have said, it is variable and you are using your adult mind and knowledge of sex to imagine what the child went through.
'well i remember what i went through, so i don't have to imagine far '
^^^ You shouldn't be imagining at all or imposing your own experiences/thoughts; as previously said, you know nothing about this case, none of us do. It is all speculation whatever any of us say.
I really hope it works out for this family and both children.
They were too young to know better. The parents failed to parent properly, allowing one see pornography because they wouldn't ensure proper monitoring and not ensure both were supervised. I see no reason to be confused at the reaction of the victim. She knows she loves her brother and wants him to remain part of the family. I'm unsure that view will change as she ages for she will understand he was too young to be held responsible. It is a sad situation, and one can only hope the parents know to be more vigilant in future.

Blaming ease of access to porn is too simplistic; Growing up in the 80s there was always some lad at school that had found a discarded adult mag and it would be eagerly shared around out of parents/teachers view. Even at the age of this young lad. Admittedly not as readily available or graphic as todays offering - but sexual imagery has always been around.
But you learn to separate imagery from reality. Do to what this boy did shows deep rooted tendencies of sexual perversion. Do those feelings ever go away or can he learn to supress them?
His sister may not fully understand whats gone on now, but this will be a memory that she will struggle with as she matures, will she ever have a normal sibling relationship as a result of that?
I do hope that they all get the proper support and the boy responds well to any kind of therapy that is on offer. As a male growing up amongst the level of sexual imagery that we witness in todays society, along with the knowledge its rarely available is an important life skill!
Booldawg...the voice of reason on this subject. Too easy to blame access to pornography. I hope that the family can learn from this experience and move on.
