Nurses get their 1% pay rise blocked, while advisors get 36%. surely this is entirely the wrong message?
(Iain Duncan Smith's performance lately has been lamentable. A pay cut rather than a rise for his advisors would be more appropriate, would it not?)

The Health Secretary also warned the planned 1% increase for April 2014 may not go ahead unless the unions accepted an end to automatic pay hikes linked to length of service.
He told MPs that nurses, doctors and the 1.3million other NHS workers would not get any more than a 1% rise until March 2016. //
