What Is The Most Appropriate Way To Mark The Death Of Fred Phelps?

Fred Phelps is reportedly 'close to death'.

There will be people who celebrate the demise of this man. Some may even use the opportunity to get 'payback', due to the hurt and pain the WBC have inflicted on others at their lowest ebb (picketing funerals etc).

Me, I think the best response is to completely ignore his death, and take the high road...but I will admit that I won't be shedding any tears, and vaguely hope that his last few days on Earth are filled with pain.

Rather ironically, he appears to have been excommunicated last year from the very church he founded.

Yes I also had no idea of his existence, but now thanks to sp he has enlightened us all, to this persons vile preachings.

On first reading this I thought that this Fred Phelps was a mass murderer or a known terrorist, due to sp hoping his last few days on Earth are filled with pain.

Strange though that much worse things are taking place against gays in Africa but apparently sp is rather quiet regarding these much more appalling atrocities.

I wonder why?

It was you who entered a thread regarding certain ill treatment of gays by one particular person who most of us knew about, I was merely extending it to more serious issues which most of us ARE aware of and also attached to the same debate.

I was in no way side-tracking the issues, that some ABers are so keen to do, when certain revelations hit a raw nerve.
