i suspect that things go on in the police force that we wouldn't consider nice, i still maintain that i would rather have the police than not.

I'm not sure that qualifies as corruption, does it? Bungling and breaking their own rules and trying to cover it up, maybe, but that doesn't exactly make them corrupt.

The allegations do go to issues of trust, though.

Corruption is pretty broad spectrum. It'll be interesting, that's for sure.

In my job, my employer shredded 2000 pages of evidence that favoured the fella they [really] wished to fire - a long report that said he wasnt that bad - and swore the opposite in court. They swore they didnt know and he COULD be much worse. So I accused my employer of perjury and the judge said that he was so wise that it ( missing papers ) didnt actually matter.

So the only upshot was that it didnt do my own employment much good. The judge - oh he's now on the High Court bench. Only a man as wise as that, says: dont rock the boat !
