No, I don't agree that we're going back to the old days. The Victorians are long dead and it's high time the bleeding hearts moved on.

Incidentally, it might surprise you to know that my husband gets up at 4am every day and catches the first train into London - a journey of at least an hour and a half. He never arrives home before 8pm, and often not before 10pm. Alright for some, eh?

naomi unless they have changed things in the last few years from what i was told by some railway drivers they do not just turn up turn a key and drive the train

with carrying members of the public they have safety checks that they have to do before they can move the train
