The 73 year old recently arrested is a former BBC employee and not a household name.

Hope this will quell the awful accusations about famous people that have been flying around here and the web in general.

One paper said he was a singer, this one says he's a BBC employee who isn't a household name. Now, i suppose the two could be consistent- he could have been a backing singer for some music show, but it could also be that both papers are just speculating and one or both could be wrong.
One irresponsible headline a month or so ago about Yew Tree even came up with what it presumably thought was a clever headline by including a pun on the singer's name in the headline.

I wholeheartedly agree that this persons name should not be released until charged. We have discussed this matter many times here on AB and most of us agree on this. But make no mistake...the only reason that we haven't been told who has been arrested, is that it seems that it is not a well-known name.
If it was, the name would be all over the media by now, another example of this obsession with celebrity people have these days. Andy Warhol was right after all.
