Children's morning TV prog from the late 70s. Military name? General (something)? Major?
Can anyone remember this TV show? It was probably one of those shown during the morning of the summer holidays. I'm sure the prog had the lad's name in the title, and I *think* the story was that he had an "army" of friends. The opening credits showed him marching out of his house and looking over the hills, whilst the music playing, iirc, was a brass band. The boy playing the lead role was about 13-ish, tall and with dark brown pudding-basin (naturally, if it was the 70s) hair. I'm sure the show was set in England, and there were probably five or six episodes and it *may* have all been shown in one week (probably in the slot before or after "Why Don't You...?").
Any ideas? Thanks!
