The truth is the political campaigning system are very different in the UK and the US. The last election was supposed to won online with Twitter, Blogs and YouTube videos. That was how Obama was perceived to have edged it in 2008. Except the British public were disinterested. The last General Election Campaign decended into its usually posters and soundbites knockabouts.
I suspect these US strategist will soon be marginalised when the campaign gets underway proper.

His answers of 'a six figure sum' and 'he will be here a couple of times during the campaign' or words to that effect left me wondering if I could get an appointment to sell Labour some magic beans I've fallen heir to. They come with a free set of emperor's new clothes.
I felt that when the bald questions were put to him, he suddenly realised how stupid the whole thing is.
