Not just porn but social networking. We hear much about control by religious and self righteous groups. Is this the answer?

The fools ! Society needs more porn ! Never enough.

You may be right though, didn't I hear of some suggestion of forcing porn related companies to prove a surfer's age before being let onto such a site ? Yeah for sure everyone is going to be giving credit card details to enter and browse. If that's not a crude attempt to shut everything of a sexual titillation nature down then what is ? Still uptight in this society, one way or another.

some might see porn as innocuous, however with these free or paid for porn sites, there is usually a downside. If women are persuaded, strong armed, forced, made to take part in these films, and one assumes some are, then that it isn't good. We don't know for sure how many women are willing participants in these films, so whilst you may see porn as great, consider those involved, if they want to do it, get well paid, its their bodies, but i would hate a female relative involved
i am not a prude, i have watched some porn - but i didn't care for it, i found it degrading.

do gooders in the past have stopped child sex exploitation, so they aren't all bad -

as to China, well they are at the forefront of technology, sure the people can find ways to watch it without the thought police finding out.
social networking sites is a different kettle of fish. Even that as we have seen has its downside.
banning something usually means it goes more widespread, i.e prohibition in the USA.
