I have watched the LBC interview, and Farage showed his true colours I'm afraid, which is why O'Flynn desperately tried to intervene. Not that it will stop some voters from putting their X against UKIP next week, and who knows, even May 2015. If they have managed to ignore all the highly entertaining shambles that UKIP have presented us with up until now, and UKIP's cup runneth over in that department, then it is unlikely that anything will.
But still more than 87% of people Polled say that they do NOT support UKIP, so unless something changes pretty soon, UKIP will remain the very minor party that it is.

Farage was not 'made a fool of.' This would imply that O'Brien was bullying him or being unreasonable - as the rather depressing comments on the interview keep alleging.
Farage was asked a series of perfectly reasonable questions and kept giving evasive, ill-informed and suspicious answers. He has nobody to blame for it but himself.

"a very distasteful sustained attack of exaggerated trivial and irrelevant accusations where Farage was not given an opportunity to speak."
What total rubbish. Farage was asked perfectly reasonable questions about his party's failure to control its members, the people it associates with in Europe, and the way he presents himself. He gave diversionary and vague answers. He did not have a leg to stand on.
I am fed up of people sticking their fingers in their ears, inventing conspiracy theories and making endless excuses for UKIP.

Kromo...you are right of course, Farage was not made a fool of, because he seems to have no difficulty of doing that very efficiently for himself !
As you say, perfectly reasonable questions which he evaded. However, I have noticed that Farage can bluster his way out of lots of difficult questions, like his party's obvious racism, but the questions that really get him rattled is about his expenses and UKIP's finances.
Perhaps, just like Al Capone, its the tax man that will finally get the killer blow in.

James O'Brien (being a little more confrontational admittedly) has had similar encounters with UKIP before (this one from back in February):

Nice to see that its not just the "lefties" at our wonderful BBC that are trying to get to the truth. I understand that you can listen to LBC on DAB radio nowadays.
If you cut me in two, you would find Radio 4 written through me like a stick of rock, but I may give LBC a go if its going to be this entertaining in the future !

Kromo...I have just listened to your LBC link, or as much of it as I could stomach, and this chap that phoned into to O'Briens radio show is rather typical of many UKIP supporters that I meet. They are jolly angry about something and they want something or other done about it pretty soon !
This chap Glenn from Sutton was better spoken than most but he was still confused about what he actually wanted and how he wanted to achieve it.
An easy kill for O'Brien it would seem.
Perhaps UKIP should put up one of their more educated and intellectual spokesmen next time. They have got some I presume ?

karen...misguided ? In what way misguided ? I have made the point over and over again that it really doesn't matter what happens next Thursday.
Its May 2015 that counts, and, sorry to sound like a stuck record, but UKIP may do well in Brussels but they are not going to win a General Election here in Britain ! Ever !

"Mr Miliband said he could understand why voters were concerned."
Well that's very odd, because he and the rest of his party could not or would not in the thirteen years up to 2010 during which they scoured the globe to encourage people to come here. Remember this episode in particular where Gordon Brown referred to 65 year old Gillian Duffy as "bigoted woman" because she tackled him on immigration in the run up to the last election.

Not much has changed since then (apart from around 2 million more people having arrived to settle on these shores). Oh, and I forgot, there is a General Election less than twelve months away.

UKIP on 13%...in other words, 87% are NOT UKIP supporters. You are going to have to get up a little earlier to catch me out Karen !

No it does not matter what happens next week, Mikey. MEPs have very little if any power and even if UKIP sweeps the board they will be unable to sway the European Parliament to abolish itself.
Having said that, it matters not too much what happens next May either. Once again, unless UKIP gains an overall majority (which is as likely as me voting Labour) the Westminster circus will continue on its merry, unproductive way blindly imposing EU edicts whilst nodding through huge payments to that corrupt anti-democratic organisation.
So neither vote matters that much really. The EU has seen to that. I might vote in my local council council election though. I want the dustbins emptied more frequently (Oh, forgot, there are EU regulations on that too. Perhaps I'll not bother).
