for a fun day out.
A few of my birding group friends decided to have a day out learning about willow and how to make a large willow bird for the garden. You must have seen them...or have you made one?
It was so interesting and the making of the birds was hilarious...
We could choose a partridge or a goose...I fancied a goose in the garden and after five hours of willow weaving I have....well a bird of some sort...be hard pushed to say it's a goose.
We were given materials to finish it off to our liking at home...but after a takeaway and sharing a few bottles of wine back here all I have done to mine is hang some blingy earrings from its head and give it an embroidered Indian bag to hold.
The least...to begin with...enthusiastic member of our group...a techie claiming no artistic talent made the best bird...it's fantastic...I would buy it in a craft shop!
When they are finished....too tipsy now...I will post a picture but I would say try it....for the fun and joy of making your own willow bird....xx
