Farage has stated that the ban on hand guns should be revoked and they should be made legal again

Is this his method of immigration control?

Oh dear......
When all else fails Eddie lol. I wonder what else he has up his sleeve that we are not aware of.

^^ That bit was a joke intended to draw attention to the gaffs he seems on making.
He also says that the UKIP 2010 manifesto was a ''joke, written by an idiot''
I don't know whether to take this man seriously or not, his pose with the pint is wearing thin. It makes me wonder if he has got any other genuine policies to back him up besides the immigration one.

I'm surprised that he didn't pull a staged assassination attempt on Wednesday. They had tried just about everything else to get on the News for the preceding month.

Like what? Being invited to take part in a debate against the Deputy Prime Minister? Bar that invitation and the constant belittling and sniping at them from the 'big 3' parties I didn't see too many publicity stunts. They didn't need any, the media and political foes did it all for them!

Thank you jeffa, I found that interesting, hopefully he can act upon them.
divebuddy I agree, Farage put up with the insults and slurs with good grace, I think he will gain more votes. The main parties are getting worried. Cameron seems to have backpeddled about him, Miliband too is saying that he should have done more, (even the nose squashing hasn't helped his image). Cleggy is just wet, like a jealous child who wants to take his bat home he has opposed policies just for the hell of it imo.
> If you criminalise handguns then only the criminals carry the guns. <

it is only the criminals that can get them so that is true
Of course the UnKind to Islam Party voters support this - they are so blinkered they can't see Nigel for what he is - a power-hungry politician prepared to use xenophobia to attain power (just as Adolf did in Germany in the Thirties - and to think in those days we said "It can't happen here"- Well, it is, and it's very frightening).

If handguns were available again could we expect to see the likes of this in the UK?

A very foolish man that has managed, against all odds, to persuade other foolish and credulous people to follow him. Now he appears to be a dangerously foolish man...where will all this end ?
Nigel Farage fails on all counts. Not even a half-decent buffoon. Not even good enough for John Cleese's "Twit of the Year".
--------------------
12 months ago his political opponents treated him with the same scorn and disdain.
In the last 48 hours they've had to revise their stance dramatically, acknowledge his popularity and some have even apologised to the electorate whom they ignored and branded the same.
There are far bigger, more prominent candidates for Twit Of The Year, one feels.
Partially agreed, but I do have great respect for Nick Clegg.
-----------------------
Not that IS a minority! Even his own party see him as their biggest liability.

He lost all credibility over the tuition fees U turn. He is presently at rock bottom and is preparing to dig.......

don't believe everything you hear in the media about UKIP at least Nigel is
patriotic and cares for this country
Does anyone else find his describing UKIP supporters as "The Peoples Army" slightly sinister?
