I can guess the significance of the N word.........but despite reading the newspaper and asking various people......I cannot find the meaning of the G-word.

I know it is politically incorrect......because everyone is saying so.............help!

I would have thought many ladies would be flattered to be called girls
Be wary of the Ginger mingies thought you'd know better sqad.
Sqad I love you, you really make me laugh
So do we desist from having "girlfriends" now....boyfriends,

roy.....LOL.....I suppose now it is a matter of "lucky dip" which at one time meant whether on got one's "end away"......now it means whether you are chatting up a male or female.
I'm 63 - I'd love it if someone referred to me as a girl ......and if a lad/chap/fella/man/whatever ( have to be careful here, don't want to be censored) wolf whistled it would make my year!
Consider yourself "whistled" at Roopower.
Bet yous a loverly girl
:-)
Thanks 1ozzy, my year is made!
P.s. you're not the g*** in the local spar who calls me 'babes' are you ( in disguise, of course)

Of COURSE the correct word is "girl"

It's not an age thing, it's an attitude of mind thing.

Like ...

Girls' night out

Girlie trip

Gal pal

Girl on girl

But ...

"Women" in politics.

They might have a few women at the Summer Olympics, but it's all girls at the Winter Olympics.

Does it complicate things that I collectively refer to my gal pals as "guys"?

When I meet up with a group of my girlfriends, I'd generally say "Hey, guys!"
