Here we see a Ghanaian woman who came to this country on a student visa in 2000, now being granted anonymity and the right to stay in this country indefinitely, because she has a right to a family life although she has already killed one of her family.

As summed up in the OP:

a) she gave up rights when she committed the crime. Being with the family is not a human right since nothing supersedes human rights. This is a right but one that is lower priority than protecting society.

b) She isn’t being denied being with her family. Any that wish to are free to accompany her back to her coutry of origin.

The European Convention on Human Rights is a very fine Treaty which, as a country, we should be proud to have signed up to.

The trouble is with the interpretation our senior legal-beagles place on these Articles.

Britain was instrumental in setting up the ECHR. It thought after the war that otehr countries ought to treat people better, the way Britain did. The British Bill of Rights from the 1680s was one of the things it was based on.

Now of course we know foreigners aren't human and therefore don't qualify for human rights.

AOG, I despair, I really do.

We aer no longer in control of our country, it is run by unelected persons, be it the EU or the ECHR, although the two are tied.
