I realise that the gawping public don't have access to the information that authorities have but, if the first 48 hours are all important in serious cases, is it not time to stop using this tragic case as a licence for the print media to sell their wares?

I don't know - it seems to me that the Authorities-that-be are going through the motions to satisfy the parents, although why the British Police have become involved is beyond me!

It's a very difficult situation but I can't help thinking it will never be resolved.

Have to agree with Boxtops, the McCann's have often said she was never referred to as Maddie. The public and AB are always going to ask for updates on this case. I also feel it will never be resolved.
