Got a Link Gordon, I've no idea what he said!

I thought the SNP missed an opportunity here to dismiss the views of yet another major world leader with the barbed "so-and-so is entitled to his opinion..."

He told La Vanguardia: "All division worries me."
It worries me as well.
Stay as you are, we are a small Nation and there are far important issues in our lives than this distraction....

I would much rather hear what he has to say about all the abuse of children that has been going on in the Church since time began.
everyone and their mother seem to have an opinion. why not just leave the decision to the Scottish people who HAVE a vote.
Perhaps because it matters what the decision is to people outside. Scotland isn't an isolated entity -- and so the result in September could well have a significant impact on not just its own future, but also the rest of the World's. As long as that is true, then the Scottish people really ought to stop complaining about the rest of the world having their say. It won't change the fact that the decision in the end will be theirs.
'' on the rest of the worlds future..............oh come on. like what ?
//going on in the Church since time began. //

mikey, the catholic church can, at best, trace its beginnings to the birth of Christ some 2000-odd years ago.

whereas, all good creationists know the world has been in existence (and therefore, the point at which time began is..) at least 4000 years longer than that.

:-)
Did anyone ask the Pope if he thinks the Vatican City would be 'Better Together' as part of Italy?
Most directly, anne, Scottish Independence will lead to a rapid change in Nuclear policy for both the US and Great Britain. It will also surely have an effect on the weight of the UK's voice in International Politics -- as well as Scotland's.

There are going to be consequences. There must be, because this is no longer a world where nations, especially in the Western World, can think of themselves as isolated from everyone else. There are so many connections. An independent Scotland will change the way these connections work. I don't want to say that this will be a bad thing, or a good thing, because no-one knows how things will change after Independence really -- but it won't go un-noticed.

It's a mistake to regard Scotland as cut off from the rest of the World.

papal infallibility does not cover referendum issues.
will we end up with a mass migration of people if they decide to block up the holes in the wall
