Of Lord Black's minions - he did time or else they all did time for destroying evidence,
I knew one of the lesser bag-carriers from Law School and if you cant do the time - dont do the crime was never truer....
I dont think they knew what they were getting into
and if the police knew they were doing it and did nothing
you go on doing it !

IMHO they knew EXACTLY what they were getting into when they hired the likes of Glenn Mulcaire and Clive Goodman and tasked them with gathering info(allegedly, m'Lud!)
Anyone operating in that field would have known that what they undertook was illegal right from the off, any journalist worth their salt would.

The whole case boils down to not what actually happened...that is not in dispute, but who knew it was happening. I have been following this case very carefully for over 2 years now, and from what I have seen reported in the media, Rebekah and Co don't have a leg to stand on between them.
I cannot bring myself to believe that R and Co employed people who were later convicted of 'phone tapping but didn't know what was going on.
But I might be wrong of course ( hope not ! )

Haven't newspapers always had to 'sail close to the wind' to uncover all sorts of stories. I'm not very interested in 'celebrity' gossip. although others seem to be, but I'm so glad The Telegraph broke the law to bring us the MPs expenses scandal.
I don't understand the malicious glee Mikey exhibits as he slavers in anticipation of lengthy jail terms for everyone involved in this case. Someone called him a tricoteuse the other day, took the word out of my mouth. (although I was going to say he was like the old, knitting women who sat beside the guillotine, cackling ;-))
