The whole thing is a can of worms. I've had to get special permission to take young ChillDoubt a week before the end of term. There was resistance initially, but as I pointed out it was the week when they generally potter about, play cards/football and go to Alton Towers etc so they backed down.
//Last week it was reported headteacher and football fan Mark Williams quit his job to travel to the World Cup because he would not miss 'the trip of a lifetime' //
Crikey , giving up a job like that ( lets face it - it's not like he was stacking shelves at Tesco ) just to go and watch 22 blokes chasing a bag if wind across a filed ?
It says for "personal reasons", not necessarily to watch the world cup. While he is off work for "personal reasons" why should he not go to go see the football.
Are we jumping to conclusions, does anybody know why he was actually off work?
I'm sure there are many reasons why he needed to be off work, where and how he decided to spend that time is largely irrelevant. It may have been a coincident that the world cup was on?
