Thank you mikey. I shall have a listen before I go to bed, with a glass of something, when it is quiet.
Lucky you seeing Big Lucy and the ROH. The amphitheatre was my favourite haunt in the 90's. I used to organise outings from work for people who had never been but wanted to give opera a try and whose friends and family weren't interested. The amphitheatre was reasonably priced and not a bad position at all and I got to know the young man at the box office who would make sure we got good seats. I can tell you that every single person who came was knocked out by it and came more than once. Had to pick the operas carefully though. Respect but I don't think I'd start them off with Wagner:-) Oh and BTW I also saw Pavarotti at the Hyde Park concert. Warm summer's evening but a light drizzle which eventually soaked us but we didn't care; nobody cared. Princess Di was there I remember. Glad this is your thread mikey as we've gone a bit (ever so slightly) off topic.
Ratter that was hilarious, thanks for posting.
Mikey all the links worked for me, thank you. One word, sublime.
