Piggy banks/money boxes indoors used to very popular. Do you still use one, or are they just a thing of the past?

Still very much alive and grunting in our house - different ones for different purposes!
My children all have one each, unfortunately three are the same design but different colours. We also have a big, plastic bottle for the holiday fund.
How was your holiday, sher? ('scuse me, GM)
got two Piggy Banks Gm, one for "brass" and one for "silver"
(Boxtops, it was fabulous but hard work! Knackered today as we have been up since 7.30 yesterday and I only dozed a bit in the car from Gatwick. Really long days, baking hot and loads of lovely food - I've never eaten so much! - thank you for asking.)
Mine is a Tigger one rather than a piggy - all four Grandchildren have them.
No piggy bank but charity box for pennies and tuppences.

On a Sunday night, once the weekend is finished, I put all left over cash under a certain denomination into a secure place, as the next weeks allowance will be drawn on Monday morning.
To be honest, when I say secure place I actually mean down the back of the Settee, I mean it's gotta be safe, no-one's gonna look in the front garden for it, are they?
I'll be round with me shovel, balders :-)
Large coffee jar for coppers, which when full (or nearly) is given to the charity shop. You'd be surprised how much it can hold.
I have a tatty teddy one, just for copper and silver change.

The Settee's not buried Boxy!
;-)
Big Blue ig red ladybird for 50ps to £1.00
and tin you have to open with can opener for £1 to £2 and notes for booze cruises
sorry I am slightly inebriated, due to spending contents of sealed tin
I collect two pound coins in a glass handbag......used to give it to the daughter to help her out when she was at uni ......now I spend it more wisely on shooze and booze.....☻
We've three but not piggies, we each have a tin you need a can opener for for two pound coins,I use mine for the up front payment on my new motability car,Trish users hers for anything she fancies. The other is a big bottle for change which we use to pay for holidays or special treats.
We keep all our small change, and about once year put it in those change machines they have at the supermarket , and get a tidy sum off the shopping.
