There are 600 christian churches in Iran, so the assumption that an Iranian journalist is automatically muslim may not be correct.

Seems a bit of a non story based on 1 tweet. It ain't gonna win the Pulitzer prize for journalism.
Gromit, hmmm, could be a Christian with an aversion to pork - or maybe he's just a kill joy.
He could be a very religious Roman Catholic and only eats fish on Fridays.
Would it be cynical to suggest that he (the journalist) is trying to make the headlines in his own right? Maybe raise his professional profile?

As we don't know who he is, that seems unlikely.

And in light of the true horrors going on in some parts of the Arab world he is putting himself up for ridicule calling the smell and sight of a cooking pig a horror.
hc, I thought the journalist had shared a photo on FB or Twitter, therefore identifiable?
He could have been using a pseudonym? He hasn't been named in the Mail, unless I've missed it

I'm horrified every time I see Bruce Forsyth on telly. The Daily Mail have not run that story yet.
