If Scotland becomes the land of milk and honey that Salmond is suggesting will it not simply become another target for high levels of immigration?
The referendum is not a popularity contest for AS. Like him or loathe him, we should vote for what we think is best for Scotland.

We're not electing him King...
All the answers concerning an independent Scotland are contained in The White Paper "Scotland's Future". Holyrood will send you a free copy.
^ Maybe Salmond should have asked for one. He would have done better in the debate.
I do not think anyone would have changed their way of thinking after watching that fiasco, nothing new learnt,so nothing changes there then!It was not the resounding success Salmond was hoping for,all he did was quote from several newspapers,Darling at least said he wanted to discuss serious questions not go on about driving on right side of road, pandas etc!
THE fLYING SCOTSMAN
The reason the SNP won't put forward a Plan B is because Better Together will then put forward as many reasons as they can to say why it won't work, like they did with keeping the currency. My bet is if there is a yes vote, Cammy and Cleggy will be first to the negotiating table.
just 2 things. AS is not the only politician in Scotland nor is SNP the only political party in Scotland. anyone who votes '' yes'' do not automatically hate English people...........my personal opinion is, a heart versus head vote . its difficult :(
2sp, not only are the residents of Scotland not electing Salmond king, they're not even electing him Prime Minister or anything else! The referendum on September 18th isn't an "election" at all. It's a 'choice', but not an 'election' in the usual sense of that word.
As I pointed out earlier in this thread and often elsewhere, in the event of a 'Yes' vote, there will at some point be a general election in Scotland to choose a party of government. That may be the SNP, but it may very well not.
Far too many people seem to think that it's all about Salmond's personality or suitability as a leader. It isn't.
