Why do they always show girls jumping up in the air every year? Never boys. I wonder if they hand pick the most attractive ones to do the deed.

If my son and his friends were asked to jump in the air like that they would likely swear or laugh at the person asking.
Maths was not my storng point at school - however by the age of about 7 i knew my 1-12 times table .

I still can recite the 1-12 times table correctly and without hesitation

It's not just about girl's jumping up and down, it is also about education, and are we not constantly told that in this field the ethnic minorities lead and the white working classes come bottom in achievements?
Notice how well university students do on TV quiz shows, I don't think.

Recently one was asked to name a country which borders with Spain, her answer Italy.
In my day, late '60s, the results were in the evening paper before we got the letter, no going down to school to pick them up, so as I was walking back from the bus after finishing my summer job, the neighbours were waving at me from their front rooms or calling to me from their gardens. I knew from them my results before I got home.
yeah I havent seen anyone chuck their knickers at their teachers
