If it was a "one off" I might agree with you.
But this is becoming a common theme, gangs of Asian men, in cities all over the UK, committing awful sexual acts on very young girls after getting them drunk or drugged (or both)
Sadly these very same men would probably harm their own daughter if she went out with a white man or black man or someone not of their religion.
We really have dragged this country down with our wholesale import of these Asian scum.
Pity we cant turn the clock back.

This link was posted yesterday by Humbersloop and it is available for those who wish to read it - there is a section on the Ethnicity Issue.

I'm not sure what the DM is on about here. All the BBC reports that I have seen, on the website anyway, have made no secret of the Asian nature of most of the perpetrators :::
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -englan d-south -yorksh ire-289 47707
Quite clear from this clip and I quote ..."The majority of those behind the abuse were described as Asian, while the majority of the reported victims were young white girls"
So, still puzzled about the DMs outrage ?Can anybody see what the BBC have done wrong, apart from not using the P**I word ?

By the way, didn't you see Newsnight last night?
As I understand it, and checking my tv schedule - it's on the BBC. It covered the ethnicity of the perpetrators in great detail...as did the BBC News last night.
This all seems very odd, especially when you look at the context of the BBC's response - "Stories on the website are constantly evolving but all have clear links to articles which explain the full context."
I've just had a quick look at the BBC's website. These reports explicitly mention ethnicity:

This one doesn't, but it's more of a side story (about Ed Balls):

This one doesn't, but it's about the Police Commissioner:

Hang on everyone...just stop for a moment.
I thought that this was a major news story which was being reported across all news outlets.
I've just done a search in Google for 'BBC accused Rotherham'.
Whilst there are loads of references, they all point to a single source - the Daily Mail.
Nope...not taking the bait.
Not at all.
They all use exactly the same words as the Daily Mail article.
AOG - this was a potentially interesting thread...and perhaps it still has 'legs'.
Enjoy it. Should make for an interesting debate on the value of the news media...especially when it spins stories for the delight of it's gullible readership.
Of course, I'm referring to the BBC and nothing else.
(Ahem...)

You know, some might say that the Daily Mail's stance might be a tiny bit hypocritical...considering that it's at the very vanguard of sexualising teenage girls.
Underage teenage girls.
Hold on to your hats, and have a look at this. Remember - the Mail has done this a few times, under the banner 'all grown up' - and they're talking about 15 year old children:

By the way dive buddy, I agree with you. Race/ethnicity is absolutely at the core of this story. I just don't think that this thread has value. The other Rotherham threads are where the serious debate is happening. This is just Daily Mail nonsense.
Never ever trust a Daily Mail BBC story. It's just not worth it.

The sexualisation of young girls is a seriously unestimated issue in the world today. They have those cringingly awful Beauty Queen contests in America, where really young girls, of perhaps only five years old are made to look like tarts and paraded in front of the Judges. Its easy to shout " only in America" but it would happen here given half the chance. Some parents dress their girls in dreadfully revealing clothes...I seem to remember that ASDA was castigated for selling clothing for 5-6 year olds, with padded busts !

Grim, grim, grim, grim, grim...
AOG - sorry to hijack your thread for a moment, by yes mikey4444 - I've seen documentaries about this, and the parents always say, "Yes, but the girls love dressing up..."
And given the chance, other kids would love to play with guns and smoke - doesn't make it right.
Okay...back to the thread...

"...because the race and origin of the perpetrators are irrelevant to their crimes,"
Quite so. But the race and origin of the perpetrators were most certainly not irrelevant to the way the complaints were handled. The authorities (the local council and the police) were more interested in "preserving social cohesion" (i.e. not upsetting the apple cart) than prosecuting the offenders. This is what the official report into the scandal said. It was not the Daily Mail or the BBC. This would not have happened if the perpetrators had been "overwhelmingly of white English origin" as the social cohesion would not have been under threat.
