Hypo, the best 'newsflash' would be the one stating Obama and Cameron act fast to defeat them...
War is a costly business, we are just winding down from the useless war in Afghanistan with our forces battleworn and many losing limbs because of the cowardly way the Taliban fought. To start again with these crazy ISIS madmen will bring more losses. I sincerely hope those people can be brought down for once and for all. Cameron has lost a lot of respect from would-be voters, his shilly shalllying has got us practically no-where, we need action now at home and abroad, all Clegg can do is order 1bn on free school meals for kids.
Dave's surely not playing politics and just waiting for the right moment to strike in the hope that he gets an electoral bounce.
Nah, he has more class than that.
Doesn't he?
Don't think Dave knows where to turn with Iraq, Syria, Israel, Kiev Russia. Homegrown terrorists and Muslim groomers vs Cliff Richards (not in the same breath please) in Rotherham or spending the £1bn of taxpayers money on free food for school kids. Still got sand in his ears from all his hols.
I believe dave is waiting to be told what to do by Obama.
Time for a few of those American 'Mother' bombs, me thinks.....not a few maybe, a lot.
Western leaders are damned if they do, and damned if they don't. Time enough for contemplation. Now I believe they should - and then we'll have an outcry about innocent lives lost. We can't have it all ways.
If ISIS lost the territory it now holds its members would fade back into the communities they came from and wait for better times. Like the Taliban in Afghanistan they'd not be easy to defeat.
When journalists go to a war zone there is always the risk that they may be injured/killed in crossfire. This, however, is different. This is murder and the only solution is to keep journalists out of areas of conflict.
Keeping journalists out is not a solution.
As far as saving the lives of journalists, it is.
But it is not a solution.

But who'd be a Western journalist in the ME right now?
B*gger that! We'll have to leave it to Arab journalists to do the reporting, which is fine by me.
Any news/media corporation must know that from now on any of their reporters who are Westerners would be given an assignment in the ME with the sword of Damocles hanging over them, nothing less.
Journalists were always off-limits but to terrorists they're now legitimate targets and bargaining tools.
...not to mention the Red Cross and other humanitarian organisations.
Such a sad outcome.. Why in the name of anyone's God does this have to happen. The fight against Islam by the Christians started in 1095, that's a long time to have so much hatred on both sides
//to terrorists they're now legitimate targets and bargaining tools. //

To madmen - because that's what these people are - anyone and anything is a legitimate target and a bargaining tool. Remember Ken Bigley?
Madmen/ terrorists. Tomayto/Tomato.
Zacs, no. There is a difference. These people are not fighting for a cause that, if they succeed in, will leave the rest of the world in peace. They won't stop.
Anyone who can hack the head off another man just because of the country of their birth is a failed human being and deserves everything that comes to them.

Dropping $million bombs on Toyota 4x4s from 20,000 feet isn't going to win this war. The West need to systematically surround and beat the IS soldiers on the ground. We have superior numbers, just not any leaders with the bottle to take them on.

It desn't help that we do no seem to know which side to support. Washington want to remove Assad, but is not keen on IS taking over. Obama needs to choose which of his enemies he wants to beat, and which survives. He seems to be a spectator hoping both sides will lose, and that is not going to happen. Air strikes will not win this alone.
A warmongering Gromit? - I never thought I would see the day!

I beleive you are correct though. Posturing will not rid us of these people.

But, coupled with that we need to deal with them in our own country and right-on liberals such as yourself will use the HRA and the ECHR to stop us doing that.
