That Makes Number 31 For Yorkshire County Cricket Club..

...31 County Championships, not bad eh. Next in line is Surrey with 18 then Middlesex with 10.
Now will someone tell me why Adam Lyth hasn,t been picked for England. This left hand opening batsman has scored 6 centuries this year with a top score of 251 and an average of over 42. Surely he must be in with a shout to replace Sam Robson.

Not sure how you spell that - 'bah't' is 'without' and I think the t runs into short for 'the hat', so perhaps another apostrophe after the t. I will not care after finishing the glass currently before me. Well done, lads!
Perhaps it's because he's only really taken off this season. In 2013 Lyth scored 730 runs at 31.7, with only one century, whereas Sam Robson scored 1180 at 47.2. (Nick Compton scored 1001 runs at just over 50 in County cricket last year). So Lyth was overlooked "rightly" for test cricket in 2014. But it seems pretty certain that he'll at least feature in the Lions tour over Winter.
