The perpetrators, what colour are they? I haven't looked at the link.
sandyRoe, it's irrelevant. Yes, life should mean life.
A life sentence for being found guilty of cold blooded murder should mean exactly that, to be kept incarcerated until the breath leaves your body & you are carried out in a pine box, end of.
"The teenager, who was on bail for attacking a car with an axe ... "

I do hope that that whoever gave this vile thug bail is quietly removed from the judicial system ... but I hae me doots ...

They'll get all the 'respec' they want as stars of Fresh Meat Follies.

Yes, life sentences should be just that with no remission.
Life should mean life. If it's not going to be life they should call it something else.

Dam savages, yes the phrase "life" should mean life, or it isn't life, it's jail term.
As has been said many, many times on here before about different cases, this is a sentence of life imprisonment. He cannot even be considered for parole until at least 15 years is up. There is no guarantee whatever that he will be released at that time - that will depend on how he's behaved himself inside. Once paroled, the slightest further offence can see him back inside for parole violation.
Should life mean life? Yes it should, we have no proper deterrent, it is time the punishment was more severe.
