Anyone bar me and(undoubtedly) mikey watching?
Thus far it's been rather insipid. The only time it picked up was when Sky switched brielfy to the short and sweet Obama speech about the ISIS strikes overnight!
What Ed needed IMHO was Gordon Brown's speechwriter from last week, along with Gordo to deliver it for him.
They've certainly been given a shot in the arm this afternoon Slappy.
Miliband has on occasion impressed me at the despatch box however today his attack on Cameron was akin to being savaged by a tortoise IMHO.
I have not listened to his speech but on the radio last night it said that he had apologised for the way that the previous Labour Government had handled the economy, and if they got back in they would not be so wasteful with our money, or words to that effect.
It got me then wondering, seeing Jack Straw has also previously apologised for the way that the previous Labour Government had also handled Immigration, is the country safe in a Labour Governments hands?
Since it seems it is only when a Labour Government realises it's mistakes when they are thrown out of office, but never while they are in office, or at least they never let on.
The trouble with Farage, for all his alleged "charisma" is he has a "sensible policies" bypass :-)
I did not see the speech sadly and am learning nothing about the content here so I will tune in later ..
Since the coalition was formed they were ripe for the taking but Labour have failed to capitalise.
Ed just hasn't got the panache or the policies to make a decisive difference. In fact the dour politics we have been seeing for some time, with seemingly less interesting and charismstic figures, makes it harder for an already indifferent electorate to get enthused. It's somehow ironic that Labour supporters were enrapt by the dour Gordon Brown!
Labour should have had considerable daylight over the Tories at this stage.
I don't think the Kings speech maker could make anything of flappy mouth Miliband, he always reminds me of Jerry Lewis or one of the Nick Parks animations. Even though they have flattened his nose to help him sound better nothing would help that could allow me to concentrate on what he is talking about.
