Oh so this is why Labour are so keen on multiculturalism?

/// Mr Vaz also risked controversy by joking that many of the migrants trapped in Calais may be able to join the party next year. ///

Oh so that's what we can look forward to if Labour gets back in, is it?

/// He said: ‘We’ve got a raffle tonight. The first prize is a return ticket to Paris by Eurostar. ///

And if one doesn't win the raffle, there's always expenses to fall back on.

/// ‘You could stop at Calais on the way and have a look at all those lovely people who will be at diversity night next year.’ ///

Can wait, where can one get a ticket from?

A leopard cannot change it's spots.

More spending, more uncontrolled immigration, more tax.

Yep, that is the labour party.
It's great when someone feeds you a line...

// More spending //

This Governent has borrowed more in 5 year that Labour did in the previous 13.
Only because Labour left it in such a state (cliche No46b).
And I wonder why would that be then Gromit?

2nd prize is two trips on Eurostar to go and meet Marie Le Pen - and travelling with Uncle Vaz

Gromit

/// This Governent has borrowed more in 5 year that Labour did in the previous 13. ///

Yes but someone had to raise the money to pay off 13 years of Labour's unpaid debts.
//Only because Labour left it in such a state (cliche No46b). //

I am glad you can make light of it.

Many people in the country are struggling because of it, even labour themselves have admitted it.

But you are finding it funny. Oh well.

One of Mr Vaz's ancestors as been made a Saint!!!!!!!

// more uncontrolled immigration, that is the labour party. //

The Conservatives promised to reduce immigration from the hundreds of thousands, to the tens of thousands.
Today immigration is still in the hundreds of thousands.
Another spectacular fail.
YMB
// ...more tax, that is the labour party. //

The Tax Payers Alliance...
// the Coalition Government has raised taxes more than twice as often as it has cut them. In the first analysis of its kind, this Government is shown to have implemented or planned 299 separate tax rises but only 119 separate tax cuts. This means that the Coalition has been responsible for 180 more tax rises than tax cuts since it came to power. //

Of course the biggest was the increase in VAT to 20%.
That's why we need UKIP, Gromit.

You can guarantee that Farage would deliver on THAT promise! LOL
do they still sing the "red flag"?
Gromit; the 1997 labour manifesto stated 'The 1997 Labour manifesto stated that ‘every country must have firm control over immigration and Britain is no exception’.

Immigration rose by 22% under labour's 'open door' policy. Faster than any other nation than Italy.
Although I dont vote Tory (So I am not sure why you are quoting Tory policy to me) as I am sure you are very aware their hands are tied by Mr Clegg who, for some strange reason, welds more power than he should.

Labour are promising even more though on top of the Tories, so my comment still stands.

I dont know TTT, but if they did drop it I am sure Red Ed's Union mates will have it reinstated now they are in control.
gromit your use of statistics is disingenuous - the issue is has overall tax increased or decreased, not whether things have been snipped or introduced.

The Coalition has had to - Period! I remind you of that highly irresponsible statement of Liam Byrne about the cupboard being bare and how Labour had spent it all. That will come back to haunt them, I am sure, never mind the Millipede forgetting two major tranches of his speech yesterday, the numpty.
// has overall tax increased or decreased //

It has increased under the coalition. The net amount collected from all taxes has
risen every year under the life of this parliament. It is silly tp pretend we are paying less tax now than under Labour, because it simply isn't true.

2009-10 £485.7 billion net taxes collected by the Government
2010-11 £522.4 billion net taxes collected by the Government
2011-12 £542.9 billion net taxes collected by the Government
2012-13 £550.6 billion net taxes collected by the Government
No reply to my point then Grom?
That second picture down in AOG's article is really horrible isn't it? I may have nightmares about that tonight.
Zacs,
The UK was booming and out performing the rest of Europe - which is why so many came here, mainly from eastern Europe. And a lot are returning home now that the economy has stagnated. Their mass emigation is actually making the net migration figure look better than it actually is.
