Listener 4313: Weak Force By Tut

Quite a straightforward offering from Tut, with an easy endgame. Fun, though, and a subject I am fond of.

Couldn't keep my eyes off the golf, so only just turned to this. Very gentle from Tut - for which my thanks as this means that I can return to the golf tomorrow with no worries (and roll on the best Sunday of the year!).

Yes, we're away from home too, which always adds difficulty so we appreciated a gentler solve with a predictable endgame. Thank you Tut.

Ha ha, very funny, Jim 360. Your performance on University Challenge a couple of years ago belies that modesty. I do remember when (with three literary partners in your team) you were the only one to recognise a Hamlet quotation. No, that gives nothing away with regard to Tut's crossword!

Definitely one of the easier puzzles this year, which shouldn't present any problems to anyone. I highlighted a few clues that I thought were nice, but I felt the thematic material was rather thin, given the richness of the source.

A gentle solve (thank goodness) after last week's puzzle. Nothing spectacular about the theme or endgame which was a shame.

Nevertheless, thanks to Tut for an enjoyable enough puzzle.

Amusing denouement , for which the extra letters were not needed.
Too many Torygraph style clues.
But our real bleat is that the assumptions underlying 6D tend to appeal to an unwholesome consensus.

Considering I'd barely finished last week's Listener this was a pleasantly gentle romp and I'd even spotted the object of the word search early on. Not that I intend to spend my unexpected free time watching some idiots spoiling a good walk ;¬) Thanks Tut.

Aa someone who actually does know about the theme, there is no problem with the title. It could easily have been something entirely opposite to be sure and the chosen title is less obviously linked to the theme. But it is a correct link all the same.

Just completed my "holiday" read of Quantum by Manjit Kumar (highly recommended for anyone who wants a basic background in the subject - having had to study Shroedinger equations during my maths degree, finally puts it into proper context). My question therefore becomes, are any of us certain we are right or wrong until the results are actually adjudged by JEG ?
