/// “Globalisation means that paranoia over witchcraft and spirit possession is no longer confined to developing nations. Mass migration has made this a pervasive problem worldwide. ///
This is not about colour, it is about culture and mass migration of these cultures.

as i'm sure you know the pagans you describe are generally a benevolent lot practising pre-christian beliefs with a healthy respect for the natural world and traditional medicines
the practices termed 'witchcraft' which are currently practised in some african countries have a much darker side to them and have been associated with cases of child abuse and murder for some years now.

This is not just child abuse and it isn’t related solely to those who practise witchcraft, but to Christian sects also. It’s a serious problem and shouldn’t be taken lightly. To align any of the perpetrators of these dangerous superstitious rites to Pagans, Heathens, Wiccans, or Druids, or in fact to those nuns and priests who have a penchant for less than savoury practices, is ignorant in the extreme.

I have no idea why you posted that quote, because you don’t. The mindset that is the subject of this thread bears no similarity whatsoever to that of the groups you aligned it with – in fact it’s insulting to suggest that it does. I don’t have a problem, but you clearly do. I asked you a day or so ago why you were making your posts so personal, and I’ll ask you again today.

Retrochic, oh my! Demagogue. That’s a new one. If you’re going to quote me at least make the effort to quote me accurately because anything else confirms that you’ve misunderstood what I’ve written. That said, since you’re not talking to me again, you won’t have that problem in future. Happy days. :o)
